Snout Snack didn’t start in a boardroom.
It started with a broken man and a loyal dog.
My name is Phillip Tribby, and years ago I was struggling with addiction, homelessness, and self-doubt. Life felt directionless. I didn’t believe I had much to offer the world.
Then a dog changed everything.
The Dog Who Saw Value When I Didn’t
His name was Amadeus — a golden American Pitbull Terrier with a goofy smile and a heart bigger than I deserved at the time.
He didn’t care about my past.
He didn’t judge my mistakes.
He stayed by my side when I had nothing.
That kind of unconditional love has a way of waking you up.
With my family’s support and Amadeus by my side, I made the decision to get help. I entered recovery, rebuilt my life, and started becoming someone my dog already believed I was.
He was there for every step forward:
- My recovery
- My first apartment
- Rebuilding relationships
- Meeting my wife
- Growing our family
- Creating a stable home filled with love
Amadeus wasn’t just along for the ride.
He was the reason I kept going.
The Day Everything Changed
In 2024, we noticed small bumps that turned into devastating news: cancer.
We were told he had only weeks left.
So we made those weeks count.
Every walk. Every car ride. Every quiet moment together.
On November 20th, 2024, surrounded by family, we said goodbye.
Losing Amadeus hurt deeply — but his life had already set something bigger in motion.
He saved my life.
Now it was my turn to help dogs like him.
Why Snout Snack Exists
Snout Snack was born from one simple belief:
Dogs give us their whole hearts. They deserve the same from us.
We make wholesome, USA-made dog treats with care because what we feed our dogs matters. Their health matters. Their happiness matters.
